SACSS to Celebrate 25 Years in May 2025
The South Asian Council for Social Services (SACSS) is proud to celebrate 25 years of uplifting, empowering, and transforming South Asian and other immigrant communities across New York City through a racial and social justice lens. Based in the heart of Flushing, Queens, SACSS is committed to inclusivity, providing culturally relevant programs and services that improve the lives of our diverse community members. With a multilingual staff speaking 20 languages, SACSS reflects the vibrant communities it serves. Since its inception, SACSS has been a crucial resource, offering free services such as: accessible healthcare and mental health counseling, senior support and programs to combat food insecurity, including our weekly culturally palatable food pantry, job preparedness classes in English and computer literacy, immigration assistance through a legal clinic, a youth leadership program and civic engagement initiatives. Through these efforts, SACSS has touched the lives of over 300,000 New Yorkers. As we look to the next 25 years, SACSS remains dedicated to building stronger, more empowered communities.
